Tourism PG asking for public input on potential Visitors Centre move

Prince George’s Visitor Centre could be on the move, and Tourism PG wants your input on where it should go.

Tourism PG presented to Prince George City Council at last night’s (Monday) meeting on the potential relocation.

Tourism PG has flagged Pine Centre Mall and the Civic Centre’s Rotunda as possible new spots for the Visitor Centre.

Tourism PG has issued a survey on the relocation.

The survey asks residents how important they think the proximity of the Visitors Centre to businesses such as hotels, restaurants, and highways is.

The survey will run until August 7th.

In their presentation to council, Tourism PG noted the current location on First Avenue is experiencing low traffic.

They added safety concerns have been expressed by visitors and staff, and it’s an inconvenient location for visitors entering the city on Highway 97.
