Great Beaver Lake Evacuation Order Rescinded, Alert remains in place

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George is downgrading the evacuation order surrounding the Great Beaver Lake Wildfire.

An evacuation alert remains in place for the area.

The affected areas include the Great Beaver Lake, Tureen Lake, Teardrop Lake, and Bugle Lake areas.

As of 10:13 this morning, the Great Beaver Lake Wildfire, which is around 50 kilometres northeast of Vanderhoof, has burned 1,932 hectares.
