Update: Highway 16 back open following vehicle incident near Berman Lake Road

Drive BC says Highway 16 has been reopened to single-lane alternating traffic.

Original Story:

Emergency responders are currently at the scene of a motor vehicle incident between an SUV and a semi-trailer truck on Highway 16 West near Berman Lake Road.

According to police the incident occurred shortly before 5:00 this evening. (Tuesday)

“Investigators at the location report that both lanes of the highway are currently closed with no detour available,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

“Police expect the highway to open soon to alternating one-lane traffic. Drivers are encouraged to check with Drive BC before heading out on the highway this evening.”
