Vancouver based Telus is laying off 6-thousand employees.
The telecom company says 4 thousand will be laid off at its main Telus business with the rest at Telus International.
The company says they will offer early retirement and voluntary departure packages.

Telus has suffered second quarter net-income losses of 61 per cent from the same time last year.
