Prince George man facing attempted murder charges after machete attacks in Edmonton

33-year-old Prince George man Bobby-James Lavallee has been arrested in Edmonton and charged with four counts of attempted murder and four counts of aggravated assault.

At around 4:00 am on Monday (July 31), Northeast Edmonton Branch patrol officers were called to a disturbance at a northeast residence.

When they arrived, police found three people – two women and one man – with life-threatening injuries, another man was found with a serious stab wound inside a car at a neighbouring residence soon after.

Investigators believe these “machete” attacks were unprovoked, but not random.

Lavallee was found and arrested on Wednesday, he was also charged with breaches of the conditions of his probation.

The weapon, a Kukri knife, has not been located, police are asking the public to not touch the weapon and immediately contact them if they come across it.
