The Prince George River Kings placed second in the senior men’s division at the Canadian Native Fastball Championships in Calgary.

The River Kings lost the all-BC final to STK.

 

Major League Baseball:

Toronto Blue Jays  3  Cleveland Guardians  1

The (64-50) Jays are 4-0 on a 7-game road trip that continues tonight (Tuesday 4:10 PT) in Cleveland against the (54-59) Guardians.

Australia advances to the quarterfinals.

Colombia advances to the quarterfinals against England Saturday (3:30 AM PT).

France  4  Morocco 0

France advances to the quarterfinals against Australia Saturday (12:01 AM PT).

The quarterfinals begin Thursday (6 pm PT) with Spain against the Netherlands.

The quarterfinal on Friday has Japan against Sweden (12:30 AM PT).

Hockey:

 

CFL:

Week 10 of the CFL season begins Thursday (6 PM PT) with (6-2) Winnipeg at (0-8) Edmonton. The Elks have lost a North American major sports leagues record 21 consecutive home games, dating back nearly four years (Oct 12th, 2019).

The Blue Bombers are tied with the BC Lions for the top spot in the West.

The (6-2) Lions host the (3-5) Calgary Stampeders Saturday (4:00 PT).

PG Football:

The Prince George Kodiaks junior football team will play its second game in the
BCFC regular season on Saturday.

The (0-1) Kodiaks host the (2-0) Westshore Rebels at 4:00 at Masich Place Stadium.

Prince George lost 32-0 to the Okanagan Sun in the first of its 10 games this year.
