BC Housing to open 36 new affordable units on Quebec Street

BC Housing is opening more affordable units in Downtown Prince George.

BC Housing has purchased the ‘Quebec Street House’, a four-storey apartment building located on Quebec Street.

“Our government knows the housing crisis is holding people back, and it’s vitally important we continue to make more investments like this, not only in Prince George, but in communities throughout the province,” said Minister of Housing Ravi Kahlon.

The building will offer four studio units, six one-bedroom units, and 26 two-bedroom units, with rents ranging between $860 and $1,000 per month.

“This is another first big step towards the 8,000 units we need when we reach 2030, when we need minimum this number of housing here in Prince George,” said Mayor Simon Yu.

BC Housing will manage the building, and residents are expected to move in next month.
