The Prince George RCMP are making it easier for the public to find surveillance photos of people suspected of committing crimes.
Today (Wednesday), the detachment launched a new section of its website called “Can You Identify These Individuals?”
Underneath the caption are links to media releases asking for the identification of suspects from the public which can be accessed along the right-hand side of the webpage.
“We have a good working relationship with the Loss Prevention Officers from many stores in Prince George, who provide us with surveillance photos of people suspected of shoplifting, for example. This is a place where we can display these images, in the hopes that someone will recognize the suspects and provide us with that information,” stated Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.
For example, shoplifting is one type of crime that will be showcased on the new webpage.
