The Elks blew a 22-0 lead in the second quarter to extend their North American major sports leagues record home losing streak to 22 games, dating back nearly four years (Oct 12th, 2019).

The (7-2) Blue Bombers are in the top spot in the West, two points ahead of BC.

The (6-2) Lions host the (3-5) Calgary Stampeders Saturday (4:00 PT).

In the CFL Friday night game tonight (4:30 PT) (4-4) Saskatchewan is at (4-3) Montreal.

Junior Football:

The (0-1) Prince George Kodiaks junior football team host the (2-0) Westshore Rebels Saturday afternoon at 4:00 at Masich Place Stadium.

The Kodiaks lost 32-0 to the Okanagan Sun in the first of its 10 games this year.

 

Hockey:

The Prince George Cougars released local product Fischer O’Brien, who played three seasons with his hometown team.

O’Brien had just 12 points (three goals) in 54 games as a 19-year-old forward with the Cougars in the 2022-23 season.

The (65-52) Jays went 5-2 on a 7-game road trip.

Toronto will host the (59-56) Chicago Cubs tonight (Friday 4:07 PT) to begin a 3-game weekend series.
