You can check off another accomplishment for UNBC Timberwolves men’s soccer sniper Michael Henman.
Following a 2022 university campaign that saw him lead the country in goals with 19 and points with 21, the striker was named Canada West Player of the Year and a U SPORTS First Team All-Canadian.
This week, he added more hardware, being named Victoria Highlanders Most Valuable Player, and League1 BC Player of the Year.
This summer, the Victoria product continued to fill up the net notching seven goals to help propel the Victoria Highlanders to a first-place finish in League 1 BC, and secure a berth in the 2024 Canadian Championship.
The Highlanders went 10-2-2, finishing atop the table just one season after finishing last place in the inaugural L1BC season.
Henman and the UNBC Timberwolves start their Canada West season at Masich Place on August 25th, against the reigning conference champion UBC Thunderbirds.
