111th annual BCNE kicks off today

Northern BC’s largest annual fall fair is ready to open the gates to thousands once again this weekend.

The BC Northern Exhibition (BCNE) kicks off at 10:00 this morning (Thursday), and will feature a wide array of activities, including:

  • Carnival rides
  • Live entertainment
  • Superdogs dog show
  • Food and drink vendors
  • Other assorted vendors in Kin 1
  • Live heritage demonstrations
  • An Ale Festival
  • Pro and open Rodeo
  • A 4-H agricultural auction and showcase

The Ale Fest and Rodeo are both new to the BCNE this year.

Today is Seniors Day, seniors can get through the gates for $2 all day long.

According to the BCNE, on average, around 20,000 people come out to the fair over the weekend.

Tickets for entry, rides, and the Ale Fest are all sold online or on the festival grounds.
