The parking lot of the UNBC Connector Trail will be paved.
Prince George City Council voted in favour of the project during last night’s meeting.
“That’s such a popular area of town and the fact that we can have a nice paved parking lot there, I think it’s great news,” said Councillor Brian Skakun.
The project will fall under the scope of the 18th Avenue Roundabout Project.
According to a report that was presented to City Council, the full project is currently under budget by about $200,000.
“That gives us an opportunity to bring in some really important nice to haves,” said Councillor Garth Frizzell.
Paving the parking lot is estimated to cost around $100,000.
