UNBC Timberwolves

The UNBC Timberwolves open their Canada West soccer season this week at Masich Place Stadium.

The UNBC women host Trinity Western tonight (Friday) at 5:30 and Fraser Valley Sunday afternoon at 1:30.

The UNBC men entertain UBC this evening at 7:45 and Sunday morning at 11:00.


CFL:

Winnipeg Blue Bombers 47 Montreal Alouettes 17

Zach Collaros threw four touchdown passes for the 9-2 Blue Bombers who remain atop the West Division.

BC Lions are in action tomorrow afternoon (Saturday 4pm) when they host the Hamilton Tiger Cats (3-6).


PG Football:

The Prince George Kodiaks (1-2) are looking to secure two wins in a row.

The Kodiaks take on the winless Vancouver Island Raiders (0-4) at 5:30 tomorrow from Nanaimo.

 

BC Senior Games:

Competition continues today and tomorrow at the 2023 BC 55+ Games in Abbotsford.

Zone 9 (North Central) has 97 registered participants in the 28 different events.

 

Major League Baseball:

Baltimore Orioles 5 Toronto Blue Jays 3

The Jays are now 3-10 against the Al-East leading O’s this season and are now 1.5 games behind Seattle and Houston for the final wild card spot in the American League.

Toronto (70-58) kicks off a home set tonight against Cleveland (60-68)

 

PGA Tour Championship:

It is a three-way tie atop the leaderboard at the PGA Tour Championship

Keegan Bradley, Colin Morikawa and Viktor Hovland are all tied at 10-under par.
