“To me, there are two very exciting days at the university,” UNBC President Dr. Geoff Payne told the media this morning. “One is convocation, and of course move-in day, where students are starting their journey with us or coming back and continuing their journey.”

He said campus living is special because it gives residents the “full immersive experience” of student life, both socially and academically.

Student housing can accommodate roughly 550 students, Payne said around 3,000 students are attending UNBC this year.

More than 800 of those students are new to the University.

Payne made a point to thank the University’s staff for going “above and beyond” to make the move-in day as seamless as possible.
