A man was arrested in downtown Prince George yesterday (Tuesday) after threatening multiple people with a knife.
It happened just before 9:00 a.m. on the corner of 1st Avenue and George Street near the Millennium Park encampment that is set to be removed this weekend.
Police say they had “flooded” the location within 5 minutes and found a man matching the description nearby.
He was arrested for uttering threats and for possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
“The suspect is known to our Downtown Safety Unit for similar offences. He was released on an Undertaking with conditions and will attend court at a future date,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
No injuries were reported to the police.
