Vancouver Giants: 8 vs Prince George Cougars: 4

The Cougars’ preseason schedule opened last night in Port Coquitlam.

It was all offence, Vancouver outscored PG 8-4 and outshot them 49-43.

Drew Peterson, Terik Parascak, Carson Carels, and Arjun Bawa all scored for the Cougars.

Madden Mulawka played 40 minutes and allowed 6 goals on 34 shots, Brady Holvogt allowed 2 on 15 shots in the final 20 minutes.

BC Football Conference

For the first time in their history, the 2-2 Prince George Kodiaks have a chance to win three in a row and move their record above .500 this afternoon when they play the 2-2 Langley Rams.

The two teams will rematch next week in Prince George.

CFL

The BC Lions are off this week and will be paying close attention to the 1:00 game between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The Lions are one game behind the Blue Bombers for first place in the West.

NFL

The fun starts tomorrow. Go Ravens.

MLB

As the end of the season draws near, the Toronto Blue Jays are still fighting to secure their spot in the postseason.

7-3 in their last 10, the Jays are 1.5 games ahead of Texas for the final AL Wildcard spot.

They play the bottom of the West Kansas City Royals at noon.
