WHL Preseason: 

The Prince George Cougars will have one final preseason matchup today (Sunday) against the Edmonton Oil Kings.

The Oil Kings edged the Cougars 4-3 Friday night in Grande Cache, Alberta.

The Cougars will start their regular season at home this Friday against the Tri-City Americans.

BCHL Preseason:

Prince George Spruce Kings  5  Powell River Kings  3

Canadian Junior Football League:

Langley Rams  39  Prince George Kodiaks  17

Kayle Cowley stepped in at Quarterback for the Kodiaks and threw two touchdown passes.

Brady Harper split the uprights from 40 yards once as well.

The Kodiaks (2-4) will travel to Chilliwack next weekend, taking on the Valley Huskers.

With the win the Blue Jays (82-67) passed the Seattle Mariners (81-67) in the standings and are sitting in the final wild-card spot in the American League.

The Blue Jays are just 0.5 games behind the Texas Rangers.
