Altercation locks down PGSS

The Prince George RCMP were called to PGSS at 11:36 this morning (Wednesday) on a report of an altercation involving possible students at the school.

Mounties said the people involved were young adults and one person was reported to be injured.

The mechanism and extent of the injury hasn’t been determined yet.

“The investigation is in the very early stages,” said Cpl. Madonna Saunderson of the North District RCMP.

“However, police have identified several people involved and do not believe there to be any further risk to the public. The people involved are known to each other.”

The school was placed in lockdown for the safety of everyone, but it has since been lifted.

Saunderson said no further details are available at this time.
