BC Football Conference (BCFC)

Valley Huskers  34  Prince George Kodiaks  12  (Saturday in Chilliwack)

The (2-5) Kodiaks host the (5-1) Okanagan Sun Saturday night at 7:00 at Masich Place Stadium in their final home game of the year.

Prince George will conclude with a pair on the road: October 7th at Okanagan and October 14th at Kamloops.

NFL: (Week 3)

(Sunday night game)

Pittsburgh  23  Las Vegas  18

The Steelers improved to 2-1 while the Raiders fell to 1-2.

There are two teams at 3-0: San Francisco and Miami.

There are four teams at 0-3: Chicago, Minnesota, Carolina and Denver.

Week 3 wraps up with a pair of Monday Night Games: (2-0) Philadelphia at (2-0) Tampa (4:15 PM PT) and (1-1) LA Rams at (0-2) Cincinnati (5:15 PM PT).

CFL: 

With four games to go the (10-4) B.C. Lions are tied with (10-4) Winnipeg Blue Bombers for top spot in the CFL West Division.

In Week 17, The Lions host the (6-8) Saskatchewan Roughriders Friday night at 7:30 while the Blue Bombers entertain the (12-1) Toronto Argonauts Friday night at 5:00 (PT).

B.C. will also host Winnipeg on Friday, Oct 6th, visit Hamilton on Oct 13th and entertain Calgary to conclude its regular season on Oct 20th.

Major League Baseball:

Toronto Blue Jays  9 Tampa Bay Rays  5

Toronto sits in the second wild-card spot in the American League, two games ahead of Houston and 2 1/2 in front of Seattle.

The (87-69) Jays, with six games left, host the NY Yankees on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (all at 4:07 PT).

Toronto will conclude the regular season with three home games Friday (4:07 PM PT), Saturday (12:07 PM PT) and Sunday (12:07 PT) against Tampa Bay.

The Astros visit the Mariners tonight (6:40 PT Monday).

Jared Young of Prince George did not play for the Chicago Cubs in their Sunday 4-3 victory over Colorado or the Cubs Saturday 6-3 win over the Rockies.

The 28-year-old Young smacked a two-run homer on Friday in a 6-0 triumph over Colorado to bring his big-league batting average this year to .205 (with a pair of homers and eight RBIs) in 15 Major League games.

The (82-74) Cubs are holding the third and final wildcard spot in the National League, a game ahead of (81-75) Miami.
