Council to discuss possibility of local arts hall of fame

Prince George City Council will discuss the possibility of a local Arts Hall of Fame.

The item on tomorrow’s (Monday) agenda came forward as a Notice of Motion from Councillor Trudy Klassen.

The motion would have city administration invite the Community Arts Council to work together to establish an award installing inductees into an Arts Hall of Fame that would hold an event recognizing the inductees and establish a recognition board in a visible location in City Hall, and if appropriate, in a civic building dedicated to the arts.

Klassen’s notice of motion would also have city staff return a report to council on or before November 20th.

Other items on tomorrow’s agenda include a council-staff relations policy, and options for advertising council committee volunteer recruitment opportunities.

The full agenda can be found here.
