The Cougars scored five unanswered goals in the second period, two of them shorthanded to extend their win streak to four games before 2,011 fans at CN Centre.

The Head Coach of the Wild, Kevin Constantine, has been suspended indefinitely by the WHL after it was determined through an independent investigation he violated the WHL Standard of Conduct policies by making derogatory comments of a discriminatory nature.
Should Constantine wish to return to coaching in the WHL, he will be required to formally apply for reinstatement to the league Commissioner.
Constantine will not be eligible to apply for reinstatement until July 2025 at the earliest.

First place will be on the line when the (11-4) B.C. Lions host the (11-4) Winnipeg Blue Bombers Friday night at 7:00.
The Lions, with just three regular-season games left, will also visit Hamilton on Oct 13th and entertain Calgary on Oct 20th.
The Blue Bombers will also host Edmonton on October 21st and visit Calgary on October 27th.
The first game in Week 18 has (4-11) Edmonton at (12-2) Toronto on Friday at 4:00 PM PT.

BC Football Conference: (BCFC)
The (2-6) Prince George Kodiaks visit the (6-1) Okanagan Sun Saturday afternoon at 4:00 in Kelowna and will follow that up with their last game on the season, also on the road at the (1-7) Kamloops Broncos Saturday, October 14th (6 PM) in Kamloops.

Canada West Soccer:
The UNBC Timberwolves have four games remaining in men’s and women’s Canada West soccer.
The (0-9-1) UNBC women visit the country’s top-ranked team the (9-1) UBC Thunderbirds Friday and Saturday night at 5:00.
They will conclude their season with home games against UBC Okanagan on Friday the 13th (5:30 PM) and vs. Thompson Okanagan on Sunday the 15th (noon).

The (1-1-1) Prince George Spruce Kings are off until they play three games on the road next week.
The Spruce Kings visit the (1-3) Merritt Centennials on Tuesday, October 10th, the (2-1-0-1) Penticton Vees on the 11th and the (3-1) West Kelowna Warriors on Friday the 13th.
The Spruce Kings’ next home games will be against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks on October 20th and 21st.
The Prince George Spruce Kings had added forward Lucas Veilleux, making two roster moves Wednesday.
