It won’t feel like your typical Thanksgiving in Prince George.
According to Environment Canada, daytime temperatures between now and Monday will be 10 degrees warmer than normal for this time of year.
As for how warm it will get, here’s Meteorologist Alyssa Charbonneau.
“It is going to feel quite warm, particularly in the afternoon as we have a ridge of high pressure in place and it’s expected to bring temperatures reaching the low 20s between 21 and 22 degrees from Saturday to Monday.”
She added the city could get close to reaching or exceeding its daily temperature records, something the weather office will be keeping an eye on over the weekend.
Temperatures will cool off into next week bringing showers and more seasonal conditions.
“As we look forward past this weekend, we are seeing things cool off by the beginning of next week – a shift into a bit more of an active storm pattern on the coast bringing some showers into the Prince George area and temperatures are expected to come back down towards seasonal normals,” added Charbonneau.
