OPERA PRODUCTION COMING TO PG’S THEATRE NORTHWEST THIS WEEKEND

Fraser Lyric Opera and Bel Canto Choirs are presenting “Beatrice and Benedict” at Theatre Northwest this weekend.

Producer, Melanie Nichol says it’s the first time since 2012 an opera has graced the city.

“I think the last time we staged opera in town was in 2012 when the PG Excel put on Hawaiian Collinette and then before that UBC came up and offered Hansel and Gretel.”

Nichol adds there will be three showings of the opera.

“Friday night at 7:30, Saturday night at 7:30 and Sunday at 2:30 all at Theatre Northwest, Saturday night is going quite, Sunday still has quite a few tickets so you can come to a nice matinee.”

Tickets are on sale at Books and Company or at www.theatrenorthwest.com.
