“It’s pretty incredible.”: PG man elated after claiming Mega 50-50 jackpot

“I’ve never won more than 50 dollars before so this is pretty special.”

That’s from Bill Leslie of PG who took home a cool $80,000 after winning the Mega 50/50 Jackpot during Sunday’s Cougars game against the Medicine Hat Tigers.

It’s been a few days since the draw and Leslie told MyPGNow.com it still hasn’t sunk in.

“I still got to pinch myself today and it’s almost three days later now.”

“It’s definitely the winning of a lifetime.”

Leslie added he knows several people who are first responders as well as those with Victim Services, stating “Everyone could use a hand this time of year.”

“I jumped online and bought a ticket as soon as I heard it being announced and that was probably a couple of weeks prior to the game.”

Leslie usually attends a few Cougars games per season attending with his wife or grandkids.

He plans to share some of the winnings with family as well as put it towards some house projects.
