PG Cougars rookie is the WHL Goalie of the Week

He hasn’t turned 17 yet, however, rookie Josh Ravensbergen of the Prince George Cougars already has two shutouts in four career WHL starts.

Ravensbergen has been named the WHL Goalie of the Week after posting a 23-save shutout in Sunday’s 4-0 victory over the Regina Pats.

It was his only appearance in the past seven days.

The 6-foot-4, 180-pound Ravensbergen, who will celebrate his 17th birthday on November 27th, has played in five games this season, posting a 3-1 record with a 2.48 GAA, .905 SV% and two shutouts.

The 10-4 Cougars are 1-1 on a 5-game East Division road trip that continues Wednesday against the (7-6-2-1) Wheat Kings in Brandon.
