City Council will continue to meet on Mondays in 2024

Prince George City Council will continue the status quo for which day they meet in 2024.

At last night’s (Monday) meeting, Council was given a pair of options for their meeting schedule for next year.

Option “A” was to move the majority of meetings to Wednesdays, while Option “B” was to continue meeting on Mondays.

Multiple Councillors noted Monday works better for them with their work outside of being on Council meetings.

Councillor Cori Ramsay also noted there are four Councillors who sit on the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George’s Board.

“Meetings are typically the third Thursday of the month, sometimes they move, sometimes they have info sessions and closed meetings on Wednesdays, so there is potential for some overlap there,” she explained.

Some Councillors felt Wednesday worked better for them, but said they would support Monday meetings if it’s what the group wanted.

The draft schedule can be found here.
