One in custody after man found dead in Kispiox

North District RCMP are looking into what appears to be a homicide in Kispiox.

Just after five am Monday morning, New Hazelton RCMP were called to assist the BC Ambulance Service regarding a non-responsive male at a residence in Kispiox.

Once on scene officers found a 42 year old man dead at the scene.

Foul play is suspected and New Hazelton RCMP are treating this incident as a homicide and have called in the E Division Major Crimes Unit to assist.

Police have arrested a 25 year old man who will remain in custody pending consultation with Crown Counsel.

This investigation is in its early stages and no other information will be released at this time.
