WHL:

The Prince George Cougars’ only game on the long weekend will be played tonight (Friday) at 7:00 when they host the (6-9-0-2) Red Deer Rebels.

The (12-5) Cougars lead the Western Conference by just one point over both the (11-4-0-1) Portland Winterhawks and the (11-6-1) Wenatchee Wild.

BCHL: 

The (3-7-3) Prince George Spruce Kings try to snap a 4-game losing streak when they host the (9-4-2) West Kelowna Warriors tonight (Friday) at 7:00 and Saturday night at 6:00.

The Spruce Kings are 7th out of 8 teams in the Interior Division while the Warriors are 3rd.

Connor Bedard had the most productive game of his young NHL career.

Bedard scored twice and assisted on two others in the Chicago Blackhawks 5-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The 18-year-old has 11 points (including seven goals) in 12 games.
