Will’s Sports Shorts; Saturday, November 18

Sports according to Will as of 9:00

WHL

Prince George Cougars: 5  vs  Vancouver Giants: 0

Joshua Ravensbergen has done it again, earning his fourth career shutout in just his seventh career start.

Five different goal-scorers found the net for the Cougars, helping Ravensbergen to a 26-save shutout.

The Cougars record improved to 15-6-0-0, five of those wins are shutout victories.

They play the 10th place Kelowna Rockets tonight – the Rockets are coming into tonight’s game on an 8-game losing streak.

BCHL

Penticton Vees: 8  vs  Prince George Spruce Kings: 1

Ouch.

The Vees outshot the Spruce Kings 47-22 in the game.

The most shocking part about the score may be that there were no goals scored in the second period.

Penticton led 3-0 after one, and scored five more in the third.

The Spruce Kings hope to bounce back against the Merritt Centennials tonight.

NHL

There are 13 games in the NHL tonight.

The Canucks and Kraken play again at 7:00 tonight, the Oilers will hope to keep climbing out of the pits this afternoon against the Lightning at 1:00.

CFL

The Grey Cup is being held tomorrow at 3:00.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Montreal Alouettes will compete for this year’s championship – and for the rest of us, Green Day is the halftime show.

NFL

It is another full Sunday in the NFL – thankfully the Ravens already played (and won, of course) this week so everyone can go watch the Grey Cup instead.

NBA

There are 6 games in the NBA today.

The Raptors (5-7) play the Pistons (2-11) tomorrow at 1:00.
