CFL: (110th Grey Cup Game before a Tim Hortons Field sellout of 28,808 in Hamilton)

Montreal Alouettes  28  Winnipeg Blue Bombers  24

Game MVP Cody Fajardo threw a 19-yard TD pass to top Canadian Tyson Philpot (of Delta) with 15 seconds remaining to give the Alouettes their first CFL title since 2010.

Montreal, an 8-point underdog, ended its season with eight straight wins.

WHL:

Prince George Cougars  5  Kelowna Rockets  4  (Saturday)

The Cougars erased a 4-1 deficit by scoring in the final minute of the second period and adding three more unanswered goals in the third.

Koehn Ziemmer, who just signed a 3-year entry-level contract with the LA Kings, tallied the winner, his second goal of the game, with 3:48 left and it came on the power play.

Rookie Terik Parascak scored twice, including one shorthanded, to give the 17-year-old rookie 21 goals in 22 games this season.

Josh Ravensbergen made 26 saves for his league-leading 4th shutout of the season.

The (16-6) Cougars, who have the best record in the WHL, host the (12-8-2) Lethbridge Hurricanes in their next game Friday night at 7:00.

The Hurricanes play Tuesday in Kelowna and Wednesday in Kamloops before coming to PG.
