Update: Two arrested following early morning incident on Upland Street

Updated 12:49 p.m., November 22nd:

The Prince George RCMP say the incident that shut down Upland Street this morning (Wednesday) has been resolved.

“We want to reassure the public that this was an isolated incident with persons who are known to police,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

“There is no risk to public safety as a result of this incident.”

Cooper added those who were asked to leave their homes can return safely.

Two people were arrested in relation to the investigation, and Mounties will remain at the residence until the investigation is complete.

The Prince George RCMP is currently at a residence on the 2100-block of Upland Street in response to
an ongoing investigation in that neighbourhood.

“This is an isolated incident and there is no current increased risk to the general public, but for the
safety of the police and the public , we ask that people choose alternate routes to school and work
today,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

The investigation is ongoing. People can expect police officers to be in the area for an extended time.
