WHL:

The Prince George Cougars and the Wenatchee Wild were the only two inactive teams in the WHL last night.

The Cougars and the Wild are tied with 34 points, and are sitting atop the WHL’s Western Conference Standings.

The Cougars will host the Everett Silvertips for a pair of games at the CN Centre tomorrow and Tuesday.

BCHL:

Prince George Spruce Kings  3  Surrey Eagles  2

JR Perdion scored the game-winner on the powerplay in the third.

Alexis Cournoyer and Max Ranstrom also scored for the Spruce Kings in the win.

The Spruce Kings (6-11-3-0) remain at the bottom of the BCHL’s Interior Division Standings.

The Spruce Kings will finish their three-game homestand on Wednesday against the Langley Rivermen.

BCHL Roadshow:

Victoria Grizzlies  5  Cowichan Valley Capitals  2

The Grizzlies scored five unanswered goals to claim the win in front of 1,294 fans at the West Fraser Centre in Quesnel.

The two teams will play one more game in Quesnel this afternoon. (12:00)
