Local man handed conditional sentence following December 2021 sexual assault

A 27-year-old man from Prince George has been given a two-year conditional jail sentence for sexual assault.

According to the BC Prosecution Service, Trent Hutchinson was convicted of a single count of sexual assault in January and was sentenced in BC Supreme Court yesterday (Wednesday).

His conditional sentence, which will be served in the community, is followed by three years of probation.

In addition, Hutchinson is also banned from possessing firearms for 10 years.

The incident occurred on December 11th, 2021.
