WHL

Prince George Cougars: 4  vs  Tri-City Americans: 1

The Cougars still have not lost back-to-back games all season, topping the Americans on the road 4-1.

A natural hat trick from Zac Funk sealed the deal, he had points on all four goals, as did Riley Heidt.

Josh Ravensbergen made 30 saves on 31 shots, the Cougars registered 43 shots on goal.

PG was perfect on special teams, 2/2 on the powerplay and 4/4 killing penalties.

They face the Spokane Chiefs tonight in front of what will be a massive crowd gathered for Spokane’s Teddy Bear Toss.

The Cougars are now 19-7-0-0.

BCHL

Penticton Vees: 4  vs  Prince George Spruce Kings: 0

The Vees outshot the Kings 46-28, highlighted by a 23-14 shot second period that saw Penticton score three times.

The Spruce Kings record falls to 7-12-3-0, sitting at the bottom of the Interior Division.

They play in Vernon tonight at 6:00.

NHL

There are 13 games in the NHL tonight.

The Canucks play the Flames in Calgary at 7:00 tonight, Nikita Zadorov will play his old team almost instantly.

The Capitals and Golden Knights will play at 7:00 as well, a 2018 Stanley Cup final rematch.

NBA

There are 12 NBA games tonight.

The Raptors are halfway through a nice break after beating the Phoenix Suns 112-105 on Wednesday – they don’t play again until Wednesday against the Miami Heat.

NFL

City Council to discuss potential purchasing bylaw amendments

Prince George City Council will consider a notice of motion in regards to the disposal of assets at tomorrow's (Monday) meeting. The notice of motion was put forward by Councillors Cori Ramsay and Brian Skakun, and recommends that Council refers the City's purchasing bylaw to bring back options to better articulate section 5.3 of the bylaw. 

Nechako Valley claims PG Bowl win over College Heights

The Nechako Valley Secondary School Vikings are moving onto provincials following a 24-6 trouncing over College Heights in the PG Bowl. "The boys came to play, I'm super proud of them," said Nechako Valley Head Coach Sheldon Brown.
