Local M-P makes funding announcements in Prince George and Mackenzie

The M-P for Prince George-Peace River has made two funding announcements to improve access to Canadians with disabilities.

Bob Zimmer highlights the contributions for both communities.

“The one in Prince George is for the Railway and Forestry Museum the amount that was given was 50 thousand dollars to provide better access, the amount in Mackenzie is 36 thousand dollars which is mainly for the wash-rooms at the Royal Canadian Legion.”

The Enabling Accessibility Fund commits 15 million dollars a year to improve accessibility at facilities across Canada.

Zimmer also provided his thoughts on a potential federal election being called this weekend and had this to say.

“We’re ready to go and again hopefully the constituents of Prince George-Peace River like what I have done in the past, like what we’ve done and hopefully it carries us for another four years.”
