The big goal was the only one needed.
Terik Parascak scored the teddy bear goal 6:21 into the third period, giving the Prince George Cougars a 1-0 win over the Victoria Royals.

“It’s awesome, the crowd tonight’s been great, it’s just great to get that first goal going for this game,” Parascak said following the goal.
“I got the turnover there and had another breakaway, saw an opening in the glove so I just shot and it went it.”

5,780 fans piled into the CN Centre to throw their teddies.
It was a tight defensive game for both teams, to go along with outstanding performances from Josh Ravensbergen and Jayden Kraus between the pipes.
“Real good game, real hard-fought game by both teams and it’s very indicative of the 1-0 score,” said Cougars Head Coach and GM Mark Lamb on last night’s post-game show on 94.3 the Goat.
“I thought both goalies were there and both teams played very well.”
Josh Ravensbergen stopped all 16 shots he faced to earn his 6th shutout of the season, tying the Cougars’ single season shutout record set by Scott Bowles in the 2005-06 season.
It was a bounce-back night for Ravensbergen, as he was pulled after allowing three goals in a span of 73 seconds in Friday’s 5-3 loss to the Royals.
“I’m happy that I was able to reset, kind of forget about it and go and play,” Ravensbergen said on the post-game show.
Josh Ravensbergen has TIED @TheWHL‘s all-time record for shutouts by a rookie with 6.
He has 13 starts this season. It is December 9th.
