Nine centimetres of snow falls for Prince George

Prince George got up to nine centimetres of snow during yesterday’s (Saturday) snowfall warning according to Environment Canada.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Gary Dickinson said there could be a few more flurries today. (Sunday)

“We’re going be in between storms going forward into tonight and Monday with some high-pressure building in, bringing a mix of sun and cloud with some fog patches overnight and into the morning,” he said.

“On late Tuesday, we’re going to be seeing another Pacific frontal system that’s going to just brush by the Prince George area.”

Dickinson said that system will come with a chance of showers for Tuesday night and Wednesday.

“After that weather system brushes by, high pressure does rebuild for Thursday and Friday, we’re looking at mostly sunny conditions with cooler temperatures on Thursday,” he explained.

Thursday’s high is anticipated to be -2.
