Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire along the 8000 block of St John Crescent last night (Tuesday) just before 7:00.
A total of 20 Firefighters from three halls went to the call and when crews arrived, they found a large volume of smoke and flames coming from the home.
It took crews several hours to extinguish the blaze.
According to a news release from the City of Prince George damage to the home was extensive, estimated at $500,000.
One occupant of the house was transported to the hospital for observation.
No Fire Rescue staff was injured during operations.

PG Fire Rescue responded to a house fire on St John Cres. in College Heights Tuesday night around 7:00.
The damage is quite extensive but there has been no confirmation on the cause or possible injuries.
