Minerals North 2014 expected impact economy in the long and short term

Vanderhoof is expecting up to a $400,000 impact from this week’s Minerals North Conference.

540 registered delegates and exhibitors are expected to attend the forum which starts tomorrow and goes until Friday.

Vanderhoof Councillor Brian Frenkel says the community and surrounding area is expected to be busy during Minerals North.

Frenkel says the seminar sees mining companies, suppliers and environmental firms in attendance.

He says they also have around 300 volunteers signed up to help.
