Santa makes early Christmas delivery to kids in UHNBC

Santa Claus came to town a few days early this year.

UHNBC’s Pediatric Ward had a special visitor this year, Santa came with gifts for kids and their families spending the holiday season in the hospital.

Santa visited with multiple children receiving care at the hospital and told them he knows where to deliver the rest of their gifts if they aren’t home in time for the big day.

Benjamin Courtoreille, the father of four-year-old Grayson who got a Lego set from Santa, said “him being sick and being away from his brothers and sisters – it is really awesome the hospital was able to do that for him.”

The second Santa left his room, Grayson got straight to building.

“We have been in the hospital for four, five days now,” Courtoreille said. “It has been stressful, and stressful on all our family back home too. For Santa to come and give a big present to him is awesome.”

They hope to be released from the hospital and back home in Chetwynd in time for Christmas – Courtoreille (jokingly) said “if not, I am robbing him and we are taking off.”

“It is special, especially receiving a Christmas present before Christmas,” Santa told My PG Now. “Mrs. Claus did all the wrapping, the toys are fitting, I was really pleased.
