The Prince George RCMP will be holding a Career Information Session tomorrow (Friday) night.

“We are looking for Police Officers in all categories of our job descriptions,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

“You start off with General Duty, but there are 150 different job titles within the RCMP you can move onto explore.”

The information session offers the chance to hear first-hand from recruiters about opportunities within the RCMP.

“I have always looked forward to becoming a police officer and I am glad I was able to join this organization because the opportunities are truly endless. I believe that Policing is a challenging journey and will require your best, but it’s also extremely fulfilling and is a dream come true.”

Cooper said some requirements for applying are:

  • Minimum age of 19
  • Canadian Citizen or have permanent residency
  • Full Drivers Licence
  • Be of good character

The event will take place at the Prince George RCMP detachment, starting at 7:30 pm.
