Heading north on Highway 97 might prove treacherous today (Wednesday).
According to Environment Canada, a Freezing Rain warning is in place for Highway 97, the Pine Pass and Mackenzie.
A frontal system moving through the Williston region is giving freezing rain mixed with snow. Freezing rain will end late this morning as the system moves through.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
