The Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit is reaching out to the public for information regarding a nearly 15-year-old homicide case that has since gone cold.

On April 11, 2009, at approximately 6:35 a.m., 44-year-old Vernon Baker attended a home on the 2300-block of Victoria Street and told residents there he had been stabbed.
Baker was transported to a nearby hospital where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
“Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have information about this tragedy to please come forward and speak with police. Vernon’s family have never forgotten him and are still hoping to get answers as to what happened that morning,” stated Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.
Anyone with information about the homicide including who may be responsible, is asked to contact the Prince George RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
