International Para Nordic competitions a month away for Caledonia Nordic Ski Club

The countries competing in a pair of upcoming international Nordic events in Prince George have been announced.

Next month, the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club will host the 2024 Para Biathlon World Championships (March 5th to 11th) and the Para Nordic World Cup Finals (March 12th to 17th)

The Para Biathlon World Championship will welcome athletes from Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Great Britain, Germany, Japan, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Korea, Poland, Ukraine, and the United States.

The Para Nordic World Cup Finals will feature a competitive field from Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, Great Britain, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mongolia, Norway, Poland, Switzerland, Sweden, Ukraine, and the United States.

“Bringing this level of competition to Prince George is a profound honour and an exciting challenge,” said Chair of the Local Organizing Committee Kevin Pettersen.

“These championships transcend sport, they are a powerful display of what can be achieved with resilience and unity.”

The competitions will be free to public spectators.
