Blackburn smoke testing to commence next week

Residents of Blackburn are being advised about some non-toxic smoke testing in their area.

During the week of August 17th a contracting company will be completing an inflow and infiltration study, which will include the use of smoke testing in order to identify leaks in sewer systems and roof drains.

The hours of work will take place between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm daily, and will take one or two weeks to complete.

If any smoke enters a home you’re advised to open windows and conduct proper ventilation, as the smoke is not toxic but could be an irritant to breathe.

Anyone with concerns is being asked to contact the city.
