Prince George Cougars: 4  vs  Victoria Royals: 1

The Cougars earned a commanding win at home last night, outshooting Royals 36-20.

The win pushes the Cougars to 70 points on the season, one point behind Everett and Portland for first place – Everett has played three more games, Portland has played two fewer.

The Cats and Royals will rematch in the CN Centre tonight at 6:00.

BCHL

Salmon Arm Silverbacks: 5  vs  Prince George Spruce Kings: 2

A natural hat trick from Isaac Lambert earned the Silvertips the home win last night.

He had goals for the Silvertips in the first, second, and third periods, bringing his team from down 1-0 to up 3-1.

Salmon Arm outshot PG 39-27.

The Spruce Kings play the Penticton Vees on the road tonight at 6:00.

NHL

There are 13 games in the NHL today.

The Canucks play in Detroit against the Red Wings at 10:00 this morning, the Oilers and Kings close the day’s schedule with a 7:00 start.

Usports

The UNBC Men’s Timberwolves picked up an 86-75 win over the Saskatchewan Huskies last night at home.

Darren Hunter scored 25 points for the T-Wolves.

The women fell 98-42 to the Huskies. Both teams rematch today.

NBA

The Toronto Raptors narrowly beat the Houston Rockets 107-104 last night.

The Raptors improve to 19-33 on the season.

NFL

The Superbowl is tomorrow. I just hope both teams lose.
