A Prince George man who was charged with murder in connection to the death of his wife has pled guilty to a lesser charge.
On February 5th at the Court of Kings Bench in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Paul Tamasi pleaded guilty to a manslaughter charge.
He was charged after the disappearance and death of Karen Jordan in November of 2013.
She was reported missing on February 10, 2016, and at the time, it was noted Jordan had not been in touch with her family for five years.
The Grande Prairie RCMP says she was presumed dead, and evidence collected suggested she was last seen in November 2013 with Tamasi.
Her remains were found near Wembley, west of Grande Prairie in September 2020.
Tamasi was arrested and charged three years ago and was living in the northern capital at the time of his arrest.
His sentencing hearing is scheduled for March 11 to 15.
