WHL:

Kamloops Blazers  2  Prince George Cougars  1 (SO)

The Cougars outshot the Blazers 48-30, but ran into a hot goaltender in Jesse Sanche.

Ondrej Becher scored the lone goal for the Cougars.

The Cougars (36-15-0-3) sit atop the BC Division, and second in the WHL’s Western Conference standings, two points behind the Portland Winterhawks (37-13-2-1).

The Cougars also clinched a playoff spot last night.

Cowichan Valley Capitals  4  Prince George Spruce Kings  3

Skogen Schrott, JR Perdion, and Jared Langdon scored for the Spruce Kings in the loss.
