Ex-PG RCMP officer taking part in fundraising run on Comox Valley

A former member of the Prince George RCMP is participating in the Wounded Warrior run on Vancouver Island next week.

Sgt. Rob Brennan, who spent time in the northern capital along with stints in Port Hardy and Haida Gwaii will be raising awareness and funds for veterans and first responders dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder.

“Policing is an extremely rewarding career; however, the reality that cannot be ignored is that it comes with regular exposure to trauma, horrific scenes, and dangerous situations.” Said Brennan, Wounded Warriors Runner and member of the Comox Valley RCMP.

“Over the course of my career, I have observed many members who have suffered immensely as a result of the mental toll this takes on ones mind. I have a passion and I am driven to empower others to open up about their struggles, seek assistance, and overcome challenges.”

The run is part of an eight-day journey from Port Hardy to Victoria.
