WHL:

Prince George Cougars  5  Kamloops Blazers  1

Borya Valis and Terik Parascak each scored a pair for the Cougars, while Ondrej Becher scored one.

*No Twitter/X highlights because the Cougars’ social media admin decided bowling was more important.

As always, Ty Young had a stellar game in Kamloops, making 32 saves in the win.

The Cougars (39-15-0-3) remain on top of the WHL’s Western Conference standings, two points ahead of the Portland Winterhawks (38-14-2-1).

Canada West Basketball:

The UNBC Timberwolves will play the top-ranked Victoria Vikes this afternoon in Final Four action of Canada West Men’s Basketball.

The Timberwolves defeated the home Manitoba Bisons Thursday 84-78 to advance to the final four.

Third period goals from JR Perdion and Kilian McGregor-Bennett brought the Spruce Kings back within one, but the Vipers sealed their victory with an empty netter.
